I am sorry, but I don't have those scripts anymore. I should have put them somewhere else than on the pastebin. However, I suspect that they would not work for you anyway, as @tbone wrote few comments back.

In december I will get to my old harddrive, where those scripts should still reside, so if you would still be ineterested in it, just write me here or on michal.fapso at gmail dot com.

Good luck with your videos,
MichalMichal Fapšohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08727635229014047940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2336117193054743233.post-56408678969583700152016-09-30T07:59:58.874+02:002016-09-30T07:59:58.874+02:00Dang, finding this almost 6 years after you posted...Dang, finding this almost 6 years after you posted it. Thanks for the tutorial, I still don't see anything online that makes something like this easy/straightforward, and it's not a bad way to try a bit of mishmashing linux stuff to get it to do a thing you want it to do (still pretty green to it all, but that seems to be an open-source mantra). Unfortunately, it looks like some of the scripts aren't available anymore :\ Still around to help at all?penguinjugglerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01683114844969814803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2336117193054743233.post-85421055465972451872015-10-12T09:35:54.444+02:002015-10-12T09:35:54.444+02:00Nice post, thanks! And here also is a post that you ...Nice post, thanks! And here also is a post that you will get satisfactory photo slideshow making solutions, no matter you’re using a Windows or Mac.
http://www.leawo.org/tutorial/create-photo-slideshow-with-photo-slideshow-software.htmlAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12590823106138243563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2336117193054743233.post-31696853451375262432014-08-07T09:38:49.541+02:002014-08-07T09:38:49.541+02:00Sorry Cujo, it is still not solved :o(Sorry Cujo, it is still not solved :o(Michal Fapšohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08727635229014047940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2336117193054743233.post-67649725051689105092014-08-05T08:05:49.331+02:002014-08-05T08:05:49.331+02:00Hi Michal,

The first one doesn't work at all. It runs, but when I try to open the xml file in cinelerra afterwards it just won't open. In fact at this stage cinelerra just closes down!

I got past this by adjusting the timing of the photo transition manually. The second perl script does a bit better, but it somehow loses the pictures in the process! So there are 2 video streams, with a white line switching between them.... but no pictures in either stream!

Do you have any idea why this would be?

tbonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06692532802314793747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2336117193054743233.post-81563076137413218042013-12-29T16:52:45.827+01:002013-12-29T16:52:45.827+01:00Hi Cecilia, it is described in the steps 7 and 8. ...Hi Cecilia, it is described in the steps 7 and 8. You have to create a cinelerra project with labels on places where you want image to switch. Then your .pl files have to have an executable flag (chmod a+x *.pl) or prepend "perl " to the commands. Then run "perl ./cinelerra_transitions_on_labels.pl slideshow.xml" and then "perl ./cinelerra_transitions_on_labels_2vidtracks.pl slideshow.xml". If you still have problems running those scripts, maybe send me an email :o)

Happy new year to all Cinelerra users!Michal Fapšohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08727635229014047940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2336117193054743233.post-54743636999629073812013-12-29T15:19:11.834+01:002013-12-29T15:19:11.834+01:00Hi Michal,

I still can't get the 2nd script to work, though. It creates the crossfade transitions, but all but about .25 seconds of the 1st slide are missing. I'm happy with just the standard transitions for now - though it would be great to use the Ken Burns style.

I am using Cinelerra 2.2-0.3. I'll try and send the XML file. I get " ERROR!
Trying to insert edit at position, but failed: -12" in the command window. So there must be an issue with my labels not being in the right place, maybe 2 labels on one slide? If you use -resize 1280x720, then it resizes a potrait photo to 720 pixels height.

Maybe it would be better for potrait photos to keep the width at 1280 as for landscapes, so that you can fill the whole video frame with it.Michal Fapšohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08727635229014047940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2336117193054743233.post-22637917839389348472011-04-17T12:32:16.644+02:002011-04-17T12:32:16.644+02:00This is great, not quite finished yet but just won...This is great, not quite finished yet but just wondered if this is a typo:
convert $i -resize 1280x1280 1280x720/$i

Should the 1280x1280 not be 1280x720?

Maybe you got away with this but I wanted to do 1920x1080 and found I couldn't get it resized correctly.
